All Things New

He who was seated on the throne said, “I am making everything new!” Revelation 21:5

The yearning of the whole world reaches out toward the day when Christ will make everything new. Yes, everything, without exception, everything will be made new.

If you want to work for this, you will first have to hand over your own life. Your life will have to go to the repair shop, so to speak, even if you are afraid that everything will have to be taken apart like an old machine. The Bible says, “Everything new!” This means you will also have to sacrifice what is good – or what seems good to you – especially what you have grown accustomed to. Everything has to go to the repair shop.

You must give the whole world over to God, joyfully, completely, every day, in all circumstances. As long as you keep back areas of your life – even if they are good – they will not be made new. You must surrender everything to God before he can make everything new.

And when at last the whole will of God, his good, perfect, gracious will is in your heart, and when God’s will on earth corresponds to his will in heaven, then the greatest miracles will come to pass.

  1. Thank you! This really means so much to me today with hearing about the four children and mother that were killed in Florida today. This is what I want in my life too.
